Traditional Gender Roles have been redefined throughout human history. What is a traditional gender role today may not be the same tomorrow. Less emphasis should be put on forcing people to conform to a "traditional gender role" that is anything but traditional.

 @9H96W5SIndependent from Nebraska answered…5mos5MO

Gender is a form of self expression. Individual well-being should be more important to all people rather than the upholding of gender roles.

 @9H7XNJ9Republican from Idaho answered…5mos5MO

I think not everyone should be designated to a role that they are not good at. I'm not physically strong, so why should I be forced to do a heavy-labor job? I do think however, that it shouldn't be taken to the extreme where men decide to masquerade as women and take over the role of women completely just because they want to be women.

 @9H8PTQ5 from Virginia answered…5mos5MO

you are disregarding psychological distress, and people's freedom. Why does it bother others that trans people are choosing what's right for them?

 @9H8XC7Z from Arizona answered…5mos5MO

It limits people's freedom to represent themselves and is harmful to those who identify outside of traditional gender roles.

 @9HB5DG7 from Pennsylvania answered…5mos5MO

I think people have the right to do anything & everything with their bodies who are we to say that they can’t.

 @9H7QLR6 from Missouri answered…5mos5MO

I think that transgender-ism is a mental health issue, and that no minor should ever be allowed to make a permanent change to their bodies until they can truly understand the possible consequences

 @9H97WZWDemocrat from Kansas answered…5mos5MO

You are discriminating against a whole group of people. Maybe some people may take things too far, but most are just victims of discrimination. We should promote equality for all genders. But there should also be common sense involved too. Respect is the key factor as well. Respect, common sense, and equality.

 @9H8W4QLWorking Family from Texas answered…5mos5MO

the consequence of traditional gender roles is that it limits what you can do or what you will be allowed to do just because of your gender.

 @9H82WR4 from Texas answered…5mos5MO

I think people should understand that everyone is different and have different beliefs, and should realize someone else being different doesn't affect them in any way.

 @9H7HNWGIndependent from New York answered…5mos5MO

This is a biased phrasing of a question. We value tradition and science. There are 2 genders and when we start deciding there are more then it never stops. This is a mental health issue that is harming our children. Stop the insanity and leave the kids alone.

 @9H7PD8FWomen’s Equality answered…5mos5MO

If a person wants to change their appearance or gender I feel like they should have the right to without being discriminated, this is a free land but no one acts like it is. Why should you have an opinion on someone else’s life?

 @9H824KB from Texas answered…5mos5MO

It causes people to be brought up believing that their gender determines their purpose in the world when it doesn't. Nobody has to have children, nobody is required to work unless they're on their own, and nobody is required to get married. Nobody is required to do anything but somehow contribute to the world because that is something we all live for, no matter how small.

 @9H7H5JDfrom Virgin Islands answered…5mos5MO

The consequences of Anti-Transgender would mean a larger possibility of depression and suicidal thoughts. These consequences mean that the expression and free will to do and be who you want to be is challenged and even if you don't understand d the person being themselves should be more important.

 @9H6THN3 from Texas answered…5mos5MO

If people are transgender then it is nothing that is affecting anyone but themselves and their ideals and who they are are for their own individual well-being which is respectable and they should be allowed to do their own thing as their own people without other people segregating against them for pure pettiness and things that do not affect them.

 @9H7PPF6 from Kansas answered…5mos5MO

An individuals well-being is not inherent with their gender identity, their are problematic mental health factors involved, however, a downside is that people who do not fit completely in the traditional gender roles may feel marginalized.

 @9H8HMCL from California answered…5mos5MO

Caring too much about what people want to be and choose to be harms communities and shouldn't concern anyone, just let them be.

 @9H8RLT7from Maine answered…5mos5MO

 @9H7XBBXProgressive from Florida answered…5mos5MO

The consequence of this is many people will die due to poor mental health, or just be unhappy. Upholding gender roles has no point other than to put many people down.

 @9H8SLPR from Illinois answered…5mos5MO

Just keep them equal. It's not like they are hurting us from expressing themselves differently. It goes against my beielfs religiously but I am not going to judge just because it's different from my opinion.

 @9H8PKTL from Nebraska answered…5mos5MO

It limits the room for growth as a society. It pushes us back and inhibits freedom of expression.

 @9H9837FIndependent from Missouri answered…5mos5MO

i support gay people un till they make it their entire personality and act like there better than anyone else just because they are gay, i also do NOT support trans people or pronouns, there are 2 genders and 2 genders only, if you are born a girl you are a girl vice versa.

 @9H8WCFB from Texas answered…5mos5MO

The question itself is biased to assume that valuing traditional roles and individual well being are opposite.

 @9H92GH5Republican from Idaho answered…5mos5MO

Valuing traditional gender roles over individual well being is important to give direction, in today's society many say they are confused to which gender they are. Letting everyone just pick and choice a random gender is complicating this generation.

 @9H7P9C8 from Iowa answered…5mos5MO

People would feel restricted with who they are. Everyone should be allowed to be who they are

 @9H94VL4 from Texas answered…5mos5MO

I feel like people just minded their business and let people live but people are also worried about the bad things they could do but just because they are trans but just because someone is trans does not mean they are bad people can be bad and be trans as well.

 @9H8ZXQ2 from New Mexico answered…5mos5MO

I believe that if we put traditional values on who a person should be then the rate of indaviduals unaware of who they are as a person, this will no doubt lead to higher suicide rates because if a person doesn't have a sense of personal identity.

We should value traditional gender roles. The few that are trans or don’t feel they are their gender of birth, they should be respected and not ill treated, but they should not be rejoiced on a pedestal or allowed to participate in the gender they feel they are sports or bathrooms locker rooms etc. - protected spaces

They should have their own spaces and not force their views on others. We all need to respect each other more

Accepting a gender role apart from the one you are biologically assigned is mentally unhealthy. It presents the idea that you shouldn’t be what you are and that is very self degrading. No wonder trans kids feel so left out or depressed. They’re putting themselves down too.

 @9H5ZHTBfrom Maine answered…5mos5MO

In my opinion, individual identity is always PARAMOUNT to group identity. That being said, I strongly believe that absolute freedom of speech is a mandatory condition If you wish to live in a democratic society.

if someone wants to be transgender then they should be able to be transgender nor problem. has nothing to do with anyone else except them

 @9H84M6G from California answered…5mos5MO

There are no consequences on traditional gender roles. Traditional gender roles are a beautiful thing, it doesn't have to be exaggerated but it's nice when you both are able to work together and support each other.

 @9H85PS8 from California answered…5mos5MO

I think that the well being of all individuals is on top of everything else, so people should set aside their beliefs and take care of mental health first.

The consequences of valuing traditional roles over individuals well being will be to stop the inequality in sports, specially in women sports where men are participating as women or a clear example is the bathrooms. Bathrooms were made to separate gender (which is the same as gender identity) but with the transgenderism ideology man can enter the women's bathroom advocating that they "feel" as a woman and that can lead to pedophiles, crimes that law is putting so much effort in abolishing. Also, valuing traditional roles will break the woke propaganda and stop this mental health decline that the majority of children/teenagers are suffering.

 @9H6SNX3 from South Carolina answered…5mos5MO

We must not continue to follow ancient notions of a two gender world. Biological sex is a continuum of types--humans are biologically diverse in their sexuallity.

 @9H7Q257 from Indiana answered…5mos5MO

I believe you should not be able to change genders. God made you how he wanted you to be so stay that way.

 @9H8YSDJanswered…5mos5MO

Valuing traditional gender roles over individual well-being can be dangerous and can lead to continue discrimination of a minority group; can lead to a tyranny of the majority.
