Education should teach to each student's potential, and only use national standards as a means to gauge the efficacy of our educational programs; test results should only marginally affect students' grades in order to provide some level of performance incentive, but avoid having the failings of the educational system reflect poorly on students. Further, test results should not impact funding; everyone's education is important.
